This is a really lovely rundown of nonviolent communication. As a meditator, I think focusing on what can be known directly through the senses, and differentiating that from thoughts and judgements, is really useful. (I don't know that this ever gets us to 100% objectivity, which can be a loaded term for some anyway, but I think it gets us closer.) I also really appreciate the note here that it is an act of compassion to disengage from conversations in which one or both parties are not (yet) ready to engage from this place of discernment.
As a long time student of NVC, I appreciated this brief summary.
BTW, it faux-feelings, not pho-feelings.
FYI, Pho is a Vietnamese soup dish consisting of broth, rice noodles, herbs, and meat. Phở is a popular food in Vietnam where it is served in households, street-stalls, and restaurants country-wide. Residents of the city of Nam Định were the first to create Vietnamese traditional phở. Wikipedia
